Stage 22 makes a leisurely start south from the port city of Guayaquil before heading back into the Andes Mountains, and a spectacular journey along the Mara\u00f1\u00f3n River through ‘The Grand Canyon of the Amazon’ to one of the most dangerous airport approaches in the world at Chagual Airport. In the second half of the stage you’ll cross the Andes back to the west before heading south along the desert coast of Peru to the capital, Lima, and then the final stop at Ica<\/p>\n
