There is a Helipad by the water. It is a nice place to stop if you want to dip your toes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP4(POI4) to WP5(POI5)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Distance: 2.13NM Bearing: 253\u00b0 1 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For this part of the journey, climb back up to the rim of the canyon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP5(POI5) to WP6(POI6)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Distance: 1.02NM Bearing: 290\u00b0 0 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Descend back to the floor of the canyon. Follow it until you see an island in the middle of the river. Landing here will place you right on waypoint 6.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP6(POI6) to WP7(POI7)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Distance: 1.96NM Bearing: 246\u00b0 1 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Continue to follow the canyon west. It will begin to turn northwest. This is the first turn north on this part of the river and your next waypoint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP7(POI7) to WP8(POI8)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Distance: 1.6NM Bearing: 272\u00b0 1 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Continue down the river.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP8(POI8) to WP9(POI9)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Distance: 1.99NM Bearing: 322\u00b0 1 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As the river begins to run northwest, climb to the rim again and you will get a fantastic view of Scylla Butte on your left and Charybdis Butte on your right. As the river turns 90 degrees to the left, you have reached waypoint 9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP9(POI9) to WP10(POI10)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Distance: 1.47NM Bearing: 293\u00b0 1 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fly westbound at this point and continue to fly west as the river turns north again. This is your exit point. Gain some altitude and once you are 1 nautical mile west of the river, you can turn back to the airport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP10(POI10) to WP11(POI11)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Distance: 3.01NM Bearing: 258\u00b0 1 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fly the 14 NM back to the airport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WP11(POI11) to Grand Canyon National Park(KGCN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Distance: 14.42NM Bearing: 133\u00b0 7 minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As you approach the airport, expect to fly at 1500 feet AGL over the center of the airport and make left traffic for runway 21.
